This is Paul when we got him in October (I believe).

He was quite dirty and had a case of wet feather in my non-professional opinion. He would get all wet and soggy while swimming unlike my other healthy drakes.

After a few baths and access to a kiddie pool every day he is looking much better now.

Just wanted to share what a beautiful bird Paul has become compared to his initial muddy appearance.

He is a very nice duck!
 
Thanks everyone, and @johntfs i think that was just mud/lighting making him appear to have blue feathers. He’s still apprehensive about swimming.. could be the fact that he didn’t have a pool growing up- or the fact that the incumbent drake is very territorial over the pool. We’ll see in the spring when the pool gets upgraded.
