Sparkle yipped happily, and ran into the house. Kate smiled. Sparkle dug through her toy box in the corner of the room. Kate closed the door behind her as Tor entered, and picked up her backpack, heading towards her room. She dropped it besides her desk, and went to the kitchen, taking out a bowl. Kate poured dog food into both bowls, and set them down on the ground. She went back to her room, and sat down in her chair, opening her notebook.

Shadow weaved in between trees in the park hoping to find something to eat but in the winter it was hard for a cat like him to survive.
