I am looking for qualified individuals/organizations in the Houston and Northern California area to raise Rhode Island Reds and other types of poultry for commercial purposes.

What I am looking for:

-People to raise full grown R.I.R.'s (4-6lbs)
-300-500 Chickens per week
-Delivery available?

I'd try to help you out, but 3-5 hundred chickens a week is waayyy out of my league!

I am in Alabama so I would not be of any help, but, I am curious to know what type of facilities you are looking for. Chicken houses in the classic sense? Free range? Large coops? What infrastructure would one need to be able to accomodate this venture?

If you are going to turn out 500grown birds a week, you would have to have housing for appox 10,000 birds, rangeing form dayolds to grown. Not for the lite of heart.
