I got these for a friend that is currently hatching....only ducks I've ever had hatch here were under their Muscovy mom.....so I'm afraid I'm no help. Ask Celtic or Mrs Fluffy over on the CHAT.

I took a swap of these eggs, they are now at day 6. She said treat them just like a chicken egg. She sent 5, 4 are developing

why thankyou! very excited to get these since the day I first saw them. I have been looking for them since. Neatest bird I have seen. I must have look ridiculous walking all around that duck taking in the green sheen. Almost like it changed colors with each angle. Sad thing was, the person that bought it was laughing with me! I tried to buy it from them but they said no.

My son had cayugas when he did poultry in 4H. They are a beautiful bird. I'm not sure I'm ready for big ducks, but I wanted to try hatching some for sure! Be prepared, they lay gray/black eggs, very cool.
