Staggered is an understatement for my hatches. I am beyond hope. My husband doesnt even ask anymore. He just tells me, "picked up some more eggs from PO today", or will call me and tell me the chicks are safely in the brooder....all made it OK. I think he is getting trained? Now the last 3 days he has been building new pens, and added on 2 more than he told me he was going to....

I actually teach head start and plan to do this hatch in my classroom so I didnt want to confuse them with stuff popping out randomly at any time.

Otherwise I wouldve been taking some of the ameracaunas that have come up. hmmmm and maybe some marans too.

that's right...it's the time of year that the chickens all start laying pretty good....and if you're after turkeys, you better grab them while they are laying, I have heard they will only lay 100 or so a year.
