You shouldn't enter the birds as AOV, you should enter them as the variety they most closely represent or just enter them in table top competition.

x 2.................at an APA show, only the white can go BB. All other colors are shown together as AOV. Now, go to a table top show...............all colors are acceptable and they are a LOT of fun. I'm going to the big national show on the 2nd. There should be 200+ serama there.

Yes it is, there are breeders out there with pure black and pure white, but also just because a bird is black or white doesnt mean that they wont throw other colors.
