Those arent Dominiques; the rooster isnt, anyway. He looks like a hatchery Barred rock. He has a regular comb, a Dom would have a rose comb. I really can't tell on the hen what kind of comb she has.

You just said the hens had rose combs, you can't turn them into barred rocks. Barred rocks have straight combs, doms have rose combs.
