Looks good! But keep us posted on how much spillage you have from them billing it out and perching on the pan. It appears to me that you have the potential of wasting a lot of feed.

Yes..spills are a problem if you don't get the height right. I just lowered
the bottom piece into the pan further.

If I could find a Half-round bowl I think it would work better.

Another good fix is to have the dustpan tilt upward slightly. It's amazing
how a little adjustment makes a big difference in spills.

I haven't seen them on the pan. I suppose an accidental crash into
it from them rough-housing might be a problem but the Orps are so big now
they wouldn't fit on it.

I am going to try some more versions. I'll keep it updated.

i was thinking that you could cut a pot saucer? (one of them things you put under your potted plants to collect water) in half and use that.​
