hi, I'm new to Backyard chickens, I have a wonderful pair of peafowl that have just hatched 7 chicks!! We have been almost overwhelmed by snakes trying to get the eggs, and have managed to kill 8 of them over three weeks! Non the less, our peahen hatched 7 of her 8 eggs!! I don;t have any chickens, we used to, but our last one died a few weeks ago at age 8 years, so we thought we'd give that a rest for a while. I'm retired now, my husband is a building contractor, we have three dogs, my two Afghan hounds and his blue Tick hound.

Haven't see Afghan Hounds since I stopped raising dogs in 1980. I used to raise Cockers. A friend, the late Fred Alderman used to own and show "Ch.Akaba's Unsinkable Molly Brown., a top winning female
