How old does a Peahens need to be to start laying? Do all Peacocks have the little ringy things on the end of there tail feathers. I have what I believe to be two hens. Don't know there age, but we've had them about 6 months. They were already grown to full size then. They say in a pen for the time. So they are not hiding eggs.

You will be getting no eggs from them hun , those are pretty 2014 hatched boys

you got a couple years to find them some hens, you get some young hens this year and in a couple years you could have some eggs.

So those are males?
They don't have to have the ringy circle pattern on the ends of there tails?
They usually get their first big train at three years of age. At two years old, they may get a few eye feathers.

The tail is actually what is underneath all of those pretty, long feathers. The tail helps hold up the train when the peacock displays. The long feathers are called the train. They are tail coverts.

The ringy circles are called eye feathers. Some other feathers that make up the peacock's train are sword feathers and butterfly feathers (the long V shaped end feathers).

India Blue peahens have a green neck, and India Blue peacocks have a blue neck.

The long feathers on top of their head are referred to as a crest.
