Where can I get smooth pea gravel to put in my duck run? I've googled tumbled smooth gravel and can't seem to find any!

A landscaping supply place that sells bark and mulch in bulk would be a good place to start. They may sell top soil.

Maybe call a construction excavator and ask them? A plant nursery might also know where. A place that builds ponds...

Maybe even home depot... just pricey in small bags. We have gotten things (including gravel for mixing cement) in a large bulk tote (kinda like a giant purse) from HD. They load it on your truck or trailer with their little fork lift and you get you small deposit back for the tote when you return it.

Brainstorming here, good luck! :fl

I haven't had good luck with pea gravel...or any kind of gravel really. They just gunk it up. Best option is good drainage.

Ughh! I'm not sure what else we can do with drainage. The run just becomes one big muddy mess. They spill their water and then dig big mud holes.

Here's a solution: Dig a BIG hole. Lay a heavy-duty grate over the hole, and put their water on top of the grate. Make sure the hole and grate are at least a foot bigger on each side than the pool/water bucket. You can dump and rinse their pool water into the hole, most of it will drain away, but when the hole fills up with gunk, just remove the gate and shovel it out.
