peace - now that the rooster is gone

Charlie was a good rooster but not for my little flock. now, everyone is in the coop at night again. everyone is safely locked up & I don't have to worry about them in the night. it is such a relief.

my flock isn't as safe without a "protector", but for a time, i'm going to enjoy the peace & quiet.

Well, the best protector of your flock is a predator-proof coop. The rooster is there for entertainment and reproduction. Don't worry, your hens will survive without a rooster.
