peach and silver goldens

i think local only. The only thing he has left peach wise are some splash hens and a pretty rough looking splash rooster. He does have a really nice regular splash rooster, who id say will be cinnamon splash and some regular splash hens. I will txt him tomorrow and ask if he does any shipping. Now my other buddy has 6 or 8 gorgeous roosters hes waiting till are fully feathered out to see what he wants to keep. He will probably ship, but not till they finish coloring. Next time i go out I am going to take pictures of all his mutations. hes developed his own, i think he calls it sand golden or something like that, Its somewhere between peach and salmon and breeds true so far.

What did he cross? I want to try and cross the silvers and peaches but I'm sure the infertility would be INCREDIBLY high!!!

i cant remember, it just popped up one day, and the next year he got another like it. it has to be a recessive genotype somewhere. but he bred them and kept the same color this year, so maybe we have a new thing. there was a breeder somewhere who had yellow golds with bright yellow ruffs, but the website hasnt been updated in years. I think silver x peach would more than likely yield dirty washed out yellows and a few goofy splashed up birds. i bet fertility would actually increase, since both parent birds are deeply inbred, the outcross would introduce a whole new blood.

I would be interesting to see what you get when criss crossing all these colors. Do u know what u get if u cross a red golden with a peach?

splashes. probably yellows, and red goldens that will carry a recessive peach gene.

red x red = red
red x yellow = red with recessive yellow gene
red recessive yellow x red or yellow = red and yellow
this is your basis for how goldens color, now your mutations are basically the same based on the dominate coloration
red dominate- dark throat, cinnamon, splash, cinnamon splash
yellow dominate- salmon, silver, peach splash, peach

more examples - cinnamonxcinnamon splash will be split both colors.
pure peach x pure peach should primarily just yeild peach
peach x peach splash will throw peach, peach splash, and yellow

hah! found the pic! If by chance the owner of this bird sees this, please get in contact with me, Id love to get some stock from you!
