ok i'm going to grill some steaks and the only seasoned wood i have is a dead peach tree i cut up for the fireplace. has anyone ever tried cooking with it. the wood has a really good smell to it. was just wondering, i've used oak pecan, hickory and walnut before. pretty much any tree that produces nuts is good for grilling but have never tried fruit trees. if it's good results i may try wild black cherry next. thoughts and experiences please.

Never tried. Go for it

Peach is good, it's in the rose family. Now the black cherry might be a stretch, you should research that before cooking with it.
