My 8 week old Black Austolorp Peaches hasn't been acting right for about the last 2 days. I didn't think to much about it until today when she wasn't nearly as active as dr usually is. She's just standing around. Sometimes she's puffed up, sometimes she's not. She's constantly falling asleep while standing up. I also have not seen her go the bathroom today. Since about 9:30
This morning I have been keeping a very close eye on her. I can feel where her crop is a little mushy... But there seems to be something hard a little higher up. I took her out of the pen for a while. She drank. I scrambled her some eggs put a little oil them, incase of an impacted crop, and she ate that. She perked up for a while. I put her back in the pen and now she seems down again. Could this be an impacted crop? Anything else that it could be?

She still is at the age she can have coccidosis. Signs are being puffed up, sleepy, poor appetite, and sometimes blood in the stools (may be later.) Signs of impacted crop are sull crop first thing in the morning when crop should be empty, they may spit up when held with head down. If you suspect cocci, start her on Corid powder or liquid. If you suspect impacted crop, give her a teaspoonful of vegetable oil with a dropper, then try to massage her crop. Do not feed her anything but water for the next 24 hours, and keep massaging the crop. Some recommend turning the bird upside down to "vomit" the bird. Many people treat this in different ways, so I would recommend reading some of them, and decide what you want to do. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/798754/im-pretty-sure-my-hen-has-sour-crop-need-advice http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/04/answers-from-chicken-vet-on-impacted.html

I have recently treated them all for cocci. So that leads me to believe it may be something different this time.... Thank you. I will read the other threads and see what's the best option. If she's no better by Monday I am going to take her to the vet.
