Peachick Eggtopsy - Warning, Graphic Pictures!

I finally got the courage to open up the egg. It looks almost just like the one you have pictured except the peachick's beak wasn't near the air cell. The head was tucked back facing the wrong way.

Mine also had that much yolk not absorbed as well. Does that mean it died before lockdown or do they absorb the yolk when they start hatching?

Sorry I didn't get any pictures. I was pretty weirded out cracking an egg with a fully formed peachick inside even though I knew it was dead.
 
I think mine died at day 24 or 25 and the rest hatched on day 27. Not sure why mine died... I'd like to say it was due to my incubator, but it was under a hen, so who knows?

If you are going to use the still air incubator again, you might want to consider raising your temp to what most people recommend for still airs, which is around 102, I think.
