Okay, here's the problem child. Had to tape the wings 'cause he keeps flipping around and I was afraid he was going to injure them.

Little guy's so cute, I hope someone has some good suggestions.

This probably isn't very helpful, but the section titled on this website called "Physical Therapy for Trouble Standing and Walking" caught my eye...

Can he actually stand up, or do his legs just go forward?
Thanks for the link, I had seen it before, but I hadn't noticed the PT part!

As I was getting ready to make the box for him, I took the wing bandage off and put him back under mom... within a few minutes he was able to stand, albeit wobbly. After about an hour he was looking much more normal. Sure glad I didn't have to do the box thing, lol.

This is really great news!

Cute guy.

This is another strong endorsement for the wait-and-see approach to peachick leg problems, I think.
I did leave out some details, lol.

  • Before I taped the wings down they were twisted around, almost like they were broken or dislocated.
  • I kept finding him on his back under Mama, flapping and kicking.
  • He was getting noticeably weaker, not stronger.
  • I spent the night with Mama and the chicks and kept repositioning him.
