I'm slow to figure that out.... colors and patterns....

Patterns are BS for Black Shoulder, WE for White Eye, DP for Dark Pied, SP for Silver Pied, Pied, Dominant is regular India Blue also called Wild Pattern, White is also a pattern. There is also a new pattern called Brown Wing but is really not relevant.

Colors are mutations of India Blue, there are no Green color mutations however there are Spauldings in colors but the colors are bred back to greens or Spauldings to create Spauldings in colors.

IB is India Blue and considered a color, Cameo, Peach, violet, and Purple are sex-linked colors. Non-sexlinked colors include Opal, Bronze, Montana, and there may be more I can't recall right now. Then there are semi-sex-linked colors like Taupe, Mocha, Hazel, and a few others that are a combination of sex-linked colors and regular mutation colors.

My IBBS boy is split to cameo and lives with a cameo, a purple pied, and an IB pied.

Anything that looks Cameo is a Cameo and can be either sex, all of the IB cocks will be split to either Cameo or Purple. Since daddy is Cameo all cock chicks will be split Cameo or actually be Cameo from the Cameo hen, the Purple hen will pass her Purple to her cock chicks and be split to both Cameo and Purple, (first step to making Peach), but will appear IB. The IB Pied hen will possibly make Camoe hens and non Cameo hens and all of her cock chicks will be split to Cameo.

Yes, WE is white eyed, and it indicates what color the sire is, not the color of the chick.

I have Peachicks hatching today! My last batch was awful out of 11 eggs only 4 hatched. 3 White and 1 Black Shoulder. I have NO idea who was throwing that out...
I took out the wicking sponge because I think it was raising the humidity too much.
So far I hatched 1 White, 1 Pied, and 1 Black Shoulder Purple (hopefully, I bought the egg was labeled Purple). Lots of pips right now.
