I have a peacock gender question....
Do the females also display their tails, the way a male does?
Today, I was visiting family, and their neighbors have peacocks. Many of them are in their first year. They all have short tails, and I thought I could tell the males from the females by their neck feathers. Well, one of the "females" or so I thought, started displaying its tail. So, is it possible for the females to do this too, or is it only a male thing?
