I confess, I tend to hord them.... I cant help it.

Its hard for me to sell them.

Each year I have more and more, and now they are too crowded.
Hubby keeps offering to build more pens... but the bird compound is too big already.
Anyone know of a 12 step program to end the addiction?

I am going to try an sell some of the yearlings... wish me luck

I know how you feel. there are some I just find myself more attached to than others. Hard to let them go. We had one IB boy i was really reluctant to sell, so much so I actually had to leave when the buyer came to pick him up.

For some reason i just loved him, he didn't even fit into our breeding plan so I knew he wasn't there long term anyway.

As we always do we gave her our email and phone and said we'd love to hear updates. Well, much to our delight, she has been sending us regular updates on him--with pictures! it's been a lot of fun to get them and see how much she loves him and dotes over him.

good luck in your sales! you can do it! oh and if you find that 12 step program, probably should pass that info along to me!

I think a good first step would be to sell me some of your bronze, I still just keep thinking about them, beautiful birds. Oh, and some of your ameracaunas too.

Well, you might want to stop your addiction but I want to start mine...At first I was okay with two peafowl, then to replace the male that ran away we got four peafowl...Now with five peafowl and no luck with egg hatching last year, I WANT MORE! Lol I want some to free-range, and some nice eye candy birds, then some nice birds to breed, ect. If it were not for my parents holding me back I think I would have at least one more...Maybe two...Or 5...
