After having watched and read about teh Pea Palace being built, I started playing with ideas myself ... mainly how to get netting to stretch nice and clean with being all wavy, buckled and weird. I'm kinda fussy like that... I like everything "just so", shall we say. Below are two pictures of the ideas I took away from the construction of Pea Palace and improvised on, making it work for me.
These are plastic gutter, flipped upside down and screwed into the 1/2 inch conduit with self tapping sheet metal screws. It worked like a CHARM!!!! I used the same screws to screw into the seams where the gutter met to make it more sturdy and just dropped eight foot pieces of conduit down in the existing fence posts! No extra digging or anything. Using the existing chain link posts worked out great.
