I would not clip their feathers myself..

Back in 1978 roughly.. Forgot exactly what years.. I had 3 Bronze turkeys, 14 ducks, and a few rabbits fenced in a 7 ft high area of free range.

The turkey would fly out so I clipped them.. The next day my dang bird dog got out of her pen and somehow got into that 7 ft high fence and killed my 3 turkey that could not fly now.. All 14 ducks I guess was pushed by the dog and must have flown over the fence, because everything was gone.. And I mean gone.. Never found a single duck ..(dead or alive) I did see a few feathers way down in the woods few days later where something had eaten one..

I even had a electric fence all around the bottom to keep varmits from trying to dig under, etc... So how that dog got in.. I have no ideal..

So I'd never clip wings anymore.. Plus being PeaFowl... I certainly wouldn't if I had those.. That would take away from their beauty.

Ok so maybe I wont clip their wings...I was only going to do it once, in a few weeks when I let them out to free range. They are only a year old so the male doesnt have his tale feathers yet.

Mine eat everything they are like army ants.
They roost in trees at night even in the worst weather. When it gets really cold I worry about them and give them high protien food.
Where I live they are considered a pest and there are large flocks of them roaming free. Most of them come from the Castle and migrate into the surrounding neighborhood. Eat everything, cause a bit of trouble and dash back to the Castle grounds.
Now and then they are captured and what happens to them I don't want to know

In the Spring the males roam a bit but always come back. The old Peacock breeder told me to keep the female locked up for a month. The male will not leave her. After a month then let her free and they both should stay around. This method worked for my with my Peacocks and Turkeys.
