I don't think peafowls were easy to skin, as to skin the peafowls, means be careful not to spoil the plumages, with blood, gut juice, meat juice, and it may take about few hours to skin a peacock.
Meats have to be removed from bones in wings and thighs and tail stamp and head, yes brain & eyes, tongue have be removed too.
A new body made of wood, wires , newspapers have to be built and the skin have to be rubbed in borax. Fats have to be removed from shins before rubbed in borax. Train have to be wrapped in bag or newspaper so it won't get spoiled. Then sew up the stuffed birds.
Once mounted, it take least 2-3 months for peafowl skins to dry.
Worst problem is the pest insects will ruin the plumages of stuffed peafowls...carpet beetles, clothes moths.
I hope the stuffed peafowls will fell prey to carpet beetles and clothes moths.
The alive walking peafowls are much better than sorry sight of pest-eaten stuffed peafowls, with feathers eaten to shalf by pest insects.
Peafowls are too beautiful and friendly to kill or shoot.
I do not agree with idea of murdering these wonderful peafowls for tough fatless meats and for taxidermy.
