Peacocks staying around

Hi everyone
A quick question if I my. My wife and I currently have one peacock who roams freely around the grounds with the hens & ducks. He seems very happy and always sticks around and close by to all the other hens. There are no peahens.

Our question is, will in the future our peacock disappear to find a peahen for company or mating?
Would it be advisable to get a peahen or two whilst he seems so happy?

You do run a risk free-ranging a single cock but many people do and their birds generally stay home. Having a peahen will ensure that he stays home and not go looking for love elsewhere.

Find a hen and keep her penned up for several months. He won't go anywhere if there are ladies around.
