I bought two pea fouls, one a great deal larger than the other one so the breeder and I both thought we had a pair. The larger one has been fanning his tail and acting very macho. Today I let them out in a grassy area and when the smaller one encountered one of my cats it strutted and fanned its tail. Do females do this or do I have two males? They are now 6 months old.
I live in a tenth floor penthouse in downtown Lima Peru. I have 3000 sq ft roof garden. They are occupying a 10x15 ft greenhouse. I have clipped both wings hope I cat train them to stay on the roof. So far I have let them come out in a grassy area on one side of their home and into my herb garden on the other side. They move very cautiously and always return to. Their home at the least disturbance.
I would appreciate any info and advice.
