Hello.
We have a pair in a separate pen. The hen started laying and laid about 24 eggs so far. We tried to incubate half of them but none of them even started. Then we put few eggs under a broody chicken they also ended up exactly the same.
I’m not able to figure out what the problem is. I’ve seen them mating so many time so they should be fertile.
EVERY EGG THAT WE CHECKED HAD RUNNY YOLKS, MOST WERE FERTILE BUT OTHERS WE COULDNT FIGURE OUT BECAUSE THEY WERE MORE RUNNY.
We opened these very carefully to make sure it wasn’t us busting the yolks.
Is it the problem with male or female or the incubation?
Has anybody faced the same problem? Plz let us know
Thanks
