Hello.
We have a pair in a separate pen. The hen started laying and laid about 24 eggs so far. We tried to incubate half of them but none of them even started. Then we put few eggs under a broody chicken they also ended up exactly the same.
I’m not able to figure out what the problem is. I’ve seen them mating so many time so they should be fertile.

EVERY EGG THAT WE CHECKED HAD RUNNY YOLKS, MOST WERE FERTILE BUT OTHERS WE COULDNT FIGURE OUT BECAUSE THEY WERE MORE RUNNY.

We opened these very carefully to make sure it wasn’t us busting the yolks.

Is it the problem with male or female or the incubation?
Has anybody faced the same problem? Plz let us know
Thanks

Thank goodness I haven't seen this before. Sometimes the yolks look like this in unfertile eggs that are candled out of the incubator but I would assume that your hen is the problem here. Like Josh stated above it very well could be a nutritional problem or maybe even a genetic problem with the hen.

Thank you so much, I took her off from the breeding pen and she is freeranging now.
But do you have any suggestion on their nutrition during he mating season and around the year?
