yes alot of breeders have their own way of feeding. guess what works for most is why i feed like i do. Best way to tell is by the health of the birds ,and the young they produce....for sure can't tell you are feeding your wrong...you have great looking health birds.

Area the birds are may make a big different....like here in the winter i feed more corn.


I was just surprise ,they had that on UPA which was more about pheasants. IMO i feel more like turkey in their needs.

the protein being to high i think is like gout. Their needs are higher than chicken, reason i feed a higher protien
 
I agree, deerman. IMO, protein requirements fluctuate mildly with weather. This is why I supplement commercial feed with other things like fish-flavored cat chow, veggies, kale, peanut hearts, corn, etc. During summer, my birds don't eat corn but will devour it during winter. This tells me there's a natural need for these supplements so I provide them. Same with other feed additions. Thank you, deerman.
