Peafowl in town?

Hello everyone! This is my first thread on any forum. I am a proud chicken owner. I have recently become obsessed with the idea of owning peafowl. However, I live in a very nice neighborhood, at the end of a culdesac. My backyard is about a half acre with great trees. If I put my peafowl (I want one peahen and one peacock), will it be too loud for my neighbors? They do not mind my rooster crowing, but that of course is an entirely different volume and sound. Thank you so much for any input!

Very glad to have you here! I never had peacocks or peahens but I can guarantee you they’re noisy. Maybe ask the neighbors on what they think?

Welcome to BYC ! I have had peafowl in the past and they do make sound it reminds me of being in a jungle I find that pleasant . But I am not your neighbors .

I've never owned peafowl but had a neighbor that did several years ago. They are louder (at least their's was) than chickens and the male liked to fly into our trees.
