PEAFOWL MAY/JUNE HATCH ALONG!!!!! COME JOIN THE OBSESSION!

I don't have a ton of experience but if you candle and they are internally pipped I would carefully open a place in the air pocket so they can breath...I do believe peafowl need a much higher humidity than you have said your supplying...they maybe stuck....you might open the air space....if you see blood stop...back to the incubator...but if not open them till you get the head free...back to incubate maybe a moist paper towel around the shell...let them try...you may need to help more if they are shrink wrapped but don't hesitate...they are worth it!! good luck let me know!!

Storing them pointy end up? I would not do that to peafowl eggs. I'm weird like that, Im even careful not to tip them when collecting.

I store on their sides and incubate on their sides. Works for me, have 2 surprise external pips today. Day 25 for those 2.

They are very much internally pipped. I put an air hole, the size of a tack head, near each beak. I used the humidity levels I was told to use by the person I got them from. Thank you very much for responding.

I've been storing them pointy side down, was just confused when I read a couple of posts about pointy side up... Maybe the posters made a typos?

buggles,

peahens take 28+ days...are you sure they were just moving? can you hear them if you put the egg to your ear?
Last year 4 6 of mine pipped on day 25 and hatched on day 26. This year the many of them pipped on day 26 and hatched on 27. Someone else here, frenchblackcopper, I think, has them hatch even earlier.

Edited number hatched from 6 to 4, it was only the four that hatched early.

I have a theory... several days before mine hatched, the two broody hens started talking to their eggs, so I think that's when they started moving under her, but it's just a guess.
