Thanks power is on now, peacocks eggs good, problem is duck eggs in another incubator humidity has spiked to 74% so trying to get it back down, hopefully just day 5 they will b o.k.

I think number egg number 30 was shrink wrapped, not malpositioned, and of course it died.

Will post pictures of the egg necropsy in a new thread.

So if any of your eggs look like this, take a peek and make sure they aren't shrink wrapped.

Here you can see some veins

More veins

And another like the first

Every morning when I open the shed door to let the birds out my duck goes out and eats some food and then into the pool she goes splashing about and then right back onto the eggs and she is soak and wet so I do not think the duck eggs will die from 74% humidity. She got off the eggs again today and they were wet to the touch. She does it everyday LOL I would candle then each on day 10 and look for movement. Those with nothing going on should be tossed cause the non fertile eggs can kill your fertile ones. Day 10 will shows veins and/or a heart beating inside.

Sorry Kathy those eggs are gone

Thanks you guys. Live and learn, I guess... Next time I have one like that I'll not wait as long to take a look inside. Heck, it was moving just two hours before those pictures were taken and I could have sworn that it moved once as I was taking it out.

It did look normal to me, too, but I'm pretty new to this, so it's all part of a learning curve. Sorry for your loss,

I'm no expert, but I think a few hours of high humidity isn't going to hurt them.

for you!

Casportpony, thanks for encouragement ,bur think bc of all the intense nonstop rain n no ac at home humidity is just not dropping past 74%,even tried rice......so just done fretting n worrying over them,if their meant to hatch they will...peachick eggs humidity holding 34%-40% humidity,so im ok with them....time will tell on all though
