So sorryI think number egg number 30 was shrink wrapped, not malpositioned, and of course it died. Will post pictures of the egg necropsy in a new thread. So if any of your eggs look like this, take a peek and make sure they aren't shrink wrapped.![]()

Every morning when I open the shed door to let the birds out my duck goes out and eats some food and then into the pool she goes splashing about and then right back onto the eggs and she is soak and wet so I do not think the duck eggs will die from 74% humidity. She got off the eggs again today and they were wet to the touch. She does it everyday LOL I would candle then each on day 10 and look for movement. Those with nothing going on should be tossed cause the non fertile eggs can kill your fertile ones. Day 10 will shows veins and/or a heart beating inside. Thanks power is on now, peacocks eggs good, problem is duck eggs in another incubator humidity has spiked to 74% so trying to get it back down, hopefully just day 5 they will b o.k.
It did look normal to me, too, but I'm pretty new to this, so it's all part of a learning curve. Sorry for your loss,I swear those pictures look normal...I'm sorry! mine that pipped it's shell died just a few hours later! I didn't sleep well over that loss! I know how you feel! have a better day Kathy![]()
