Update - four of the five pipped and hatched yesterday, but the malpositioned one, the one that pipped at the wrong end, died.

If that happens again, I'll probably give it a hand.

Going to need some help/advice from you guys and gals... One of the chicks has a strange leg problem, not something I've seen before... It can't seem to keep it's legs under it's body, instead they keep going forward and it's feet end up by it's beak. Got it hobbled now, but I could really use some advice on this. I'll try to get some pictures of it.

my mistake I said "one of your white hens mated with hen instead of one of your white " Males " mated. yoda you are right.. I corrected it now. thanks for bringing it to my attention..

Here he is this morning. I hope its a he anyway.

This is its hatch mate that took all night. Looks like white wings. He's still drunk on life, not up and going yet.

Congratulations and sorry about the one that didn't make it.

As far as legs go I don't know much about them, guess if I have a pea leg problem I will learn something.. please try and post a photo asap cause surely someone here know what to do.

Hey Kathy- Saw this in one of my Peafowl books and wasn't sure if it would work for your little chick's leg problems, or not. Boy the things people come up with to help these little guys- restores my faith in man kind! Hope this helps- Molly

Okay, here's the problem child. Had to tape the wings 'cause he keeps flipping around and I was afraid he was going to injure them.

Poor baby- good luck with her/him. She has a clear, alert look to her eye, I'm rootin for her!
