PEAFOWL! QUAILS! ANYTHING!

I bought her at the Northeastern Poultry "Congress" for a whole five dollars. She was a steal!
Being a young BYCer, and wanting to keep the tradition going, once she mates, I will send you her eggs/ chicks for free! They are pretty easy to care for. In the winter I keep them in my house, but i built them an aviary for the warmer weather. I will post pictures tonight! They prefer living in pairs and get lonely and die if not. Sorry to say.
But the cage doesn't have to be huge, and I let them fly around the house all day. The cage they sleep in is maybe 4' by 3' by 3' and is really just a converted armoire with chicken wire instead of wood.

WOW!!! your nice!!

I figured they would need to be kept in pairs, sorta like a chicken just a little more extreme. How long would it be for her to have eggs? Not sure what my mom would think but I would love them. I should just save up to buy like an extra large bird cage for them. Since you posted her I've been looking how to care for pigeons LOL!! Ill ask meh mom if I could possibly one day have pigeons

, not sure how it would work out, my mom is pretty flexible but my DAD, well hes hard enough to convince to keep chickens so who knows pigeons, but he might like them i dunno though

dont plan on sending them to me though, ill say if my mom ever says yes, if she says yes usually we just get the animal and if my dad asks about it we say "ya we have chickens" or "ya we have pigeons" LOL!! not the best way but hes in afghan, so as long as we keep care of the animals LOL!!! but thanks for the offer, ill tell ya if my mom says yes

if not i still want to see her chicks!!

side note- OW!! I JUST CUT RIGHT UNDER MY TOENAIL!!!

maybe if i keep care of a fantail my mom will get me a pouter

, I dont know why but the ones with GIANT puffs of feather around their breast and feathered feet, i like feathered feet, once we found a 'wild' pigeon at Creamer's feild, we were with out class on a feild trip, we tried to catch it cause it looked like a pigeon but had feathered feet, SO CUTE!! we could never catch it tho

I have a fanned foot Tumbler that I can post pictures of later too. He is in Afghanistan? wow. that must be tough. Well I will surely post pictures of the babies too! A big bird cage would work, but I advise letting them out of there cage during the day.......

ya hes in afghany, lol, he mostly goes to iraq, this is his first (and last) trip to afghan, I dunno how many times hes been deployed except hes been in milatary for 13 years i think? or 13 years until he retires? once in iraq he (and his platoon members) rescued a goat stuck in the sand LOL! he actually lives in not too hot of place so its one of his better deplayments

Post pics of the tumbler, i have a site (http://www.pigeonfarms.com/BokharaTrumpeters.html) we're ive been looking for pigeon breeds,

Oh I know that site. Sadly my Bokhara Trumpeter stock is at zero. But my West-of-England Tumbler is beautiful. You can google them.
But 150 is outrageous.... I wouldn't pay anything more than 20. Some clown on BYC is supposed to be getting me Modenas, but I won't hold my breath.

i kinda thought those prices were over priced... modenas are OK, they seem kinda weird but their picture might just be the problem. have you ever hd voorburg? or a pigeon that looks along those lines?
