last time I tried she was brutally attacked and I have not tried again. She has her own fenced in area with a doghouse so she can shelter. I had a second black shouldered female who escaped, and I caught her and put her back in and the males attacked her as well. I fenced her off from them for the day and she spent the night in the coop with no issues. The next day she mingled cautiously with them and they were just mildly interested in her but later I found her pecked to death by them. I felt so bad as all these were raised together and I don't understand this behavior. There are two purple females they are breeding with and do not attack them.
