peahen with droopy wings and lethargic

I don t think say died of worms alone if she had it maybe she pick up a second infection and that is the infections which normally kills

Worms are weakening the immune system and this is the door opener for secondary infects.

It is terrible to loose one and even harder when we are not sure why.. i learned real quick peas can hide thier illnesses real good too good, i lost 2 because they were so good at hiding it.
We all, which are keeping peas since years have to learn it the hard way soon or later. I agree, peas are specialists to hide their illness.
You have to know each off your birds and a small change in behavior should make you very sensitive. I know the character of each bird and I every day check with goodies (peanuts) which I gave by hand if the birds are react as normal. If there is any small change I immediately observe the bird and check the poop. If I feel that something is not good I will grab the bird and check the breast.
A frequent check of the poop under the perches is also giving you some information if everything is ok. Experiences are helping a lot, but we cannot prevent it always. This is the nature which we have to accept.
