We converted an old shed to a hen house and have discovered that it's not rat proof. We don't leave food in overnight and we feed outside during the day to manage the ratty snacks. I'm just wondering if anyone's had experience with the plaster of paris peanut butter balls for rats. There are dogs nearby that aren't ours, and I'd use a PVC pipe for bait stations.

Most feed stores sell "Just One Bite"

I slather in Peanut Butter and put in PVC tubes around the coop.

I caught the hens fighting over a dying rat once.... Scared me.

Ick! I'm going to place the lethal buffet under the coop. I'd get a cat (ours are inside kitties) but we live on a highway and I don't want a flat cat or a wreck from someone swerving.
