Peanut butter/POP....how long does it take to kill? Responses please!

so for all the people who bait their homes with poison..how do you handle rotting bodies all over the place, in your walls etc...that just grosses me out more than the living critters.

I had a serious rat problem in the barn last year. I needed to put out poison, but with my precious puppy darlings, I had to be very VERY careful. I have 2 7 x 12 kennels that I use as breeder pens, to I took all the chickies out of one of them. I then put a small puppy cage inside the kennel, and put the Just One Bit in the cage, so it was double safe from the puppies. Those rats when thru a LOT of bait. It was pretty interesting (as interesting as killing rats can be). The first dead rats I would find were the full grown ones, then half grown ones, then smaller ones, then bitty ones. Then no more. Took about 10 days of solid baiting, but I bet I found over 50 dead ones, which doesnt even begin to mention the ones I didnt find. I havent seen any evidence of any this year, but if I do, Ill go right to Just One Bite.

Has anyone lost their barn cats from eating poisoned rats/mice?

I saw a trap advertised on here I am interested in looking at.

I have poison in my basement because of mice. There is no longer a problem with them because as soon as one comes into the basement and eats the poison, it is dead. As far as the smell and mess, the poison I use does not work immediately. They crawl back far into the from whence they came and die from dehydration. They literally dry away and wherever they end up I never see or smell them.

For every A my son got it school, I gave him a Rat Hunt. It involved sitting outside at night (winter and summer) with a pellet gun and a Q-Beam. A canteen full of soda and some cookies. We hunted for hours, laughing and telling stories and even getting a few rats or mice. He's forty five now and still tells his children and friends about it.
