peanutbutter pie

Ha. Silly me. The recipe said whipping cream so I thought it meant whipping cream, not Cool Whip. It also said peanut butter, did it really mean Reese's cups?

I can't wait to see how this comes out, dh is addicted to pb.

I say potato you say potato. I use a tub of cool whip, cause its quick and easy just like me.
Nope it doesnt mean reeses cups but than again that might be good. I just use plain old creamy PB what ever brand happens to be in the cubbard. FYI chuncky just doesnt quite taste right.
I also use the premade gramcracker crust (cause its my momma's receipe) but to switch it up a bit theres a pre made oreo cookie crumb crust that is good to.
Just remember to eat in moderation and have a glass of milk handy. this recipe has been known to cause sugar shock.

Sorry for the late replies. In the pie recipe that a neighbor gave me, it says to have a chopped candy bar in it so we put snickers in and it was great. I have also put some caramel topping for ice cream on the top which was a good addition. While at Costco we found a Reese's peanut butter bar desert type thing, it comes in a box and is no-bake. It was really good.
I used to think that I was odd because I like peanut butter so much, but now I am finding out that more and more people like it alot. Does anyone know if there is a peanut butter cook book?

one of the ladies at church used to make peanut butter pie at all the suppers. It was my twice a year splurge. She passed away several years ago and I havent had a good peanut butter pie since...I will definately try this one. We love peanut butter.
