Mine have with no problems at all. I had a bunch of raw spanish peanuts leftover after making brittle, so the chickens got a treat.

Mine fight the squirrels for peanuts. They also clean up the shells. As a treat only.

Imp- And as a bonus peanuts are high in calcium
