I may have to try the cat food or dog food!Screams eh? That’s funny! Mine just surround me like a bunch of Indians moving in for the kill when I bring out mealworms and dry dog food.

Just a heads up..If you give it straight out of the bag, make sure you put water in with the kibbles to prevent chokingThat’s a brilliant idea i may have to stealalthough I haven’t tried cat food, mine trip over themselves to reach the kale first.
I’ve found that mine enjoy veggies more than fruit for the most part.Mine like a lot of different things. Mealworms is on the top of the list. Anytime I have a Home Depot bucket, they start running over expecting a treat. They will happily eat most fruits and veggies. I have watched my muscovy jump and pick the grapes off my grapevines. They do not care for persimmon.
Well if you soak yours that long then I will likely double that time because I’m paranoid and worryJust a heads up..If you give it straight out of the bag, make sure you put water in with the kibbles to prevent choking
It's part of my routine... after giving them their reward for going in their run for the night, I come back in, rinse old remnants out, grab one handful of cat food (which barely covers the bottom of a child's sandwich container), put enough water in to make the kibbles float, put the lid on the container and pop it in the fridge for the next morning. In the morning, I take it out of the fridge and sit it out on the counter so it can be room temperature by the time it's ready for them to go to bed. When it's time for bed, I empty the soaked & soft kibble into their special neon green bowl, top it off with a handful of mealworms, add more water, enough for everything to start floating again... Walk out the backdoor, announce "ALL DUCKS GO TO BED" and they haul ass from wherever they are, straight to their run, step in and turn to wait for me. Works everytime. I'll try to get a video up of the process.I’ve found that mine enjoy veggies more than fruit for the most part.

I find it almost... disturbing theceay my ducks attack watermelon. Like piranhas. All that red flesh flying everywhere....Hi again!
Just trying to learn from everybody and get friendly advice and opinions..
Which treats do your ducks love the most?
I would say for mine it’s peas, kale and watermelon. My pekin screams as I walk through the yard carrying treats.. he is very impatient.![]()
since I have a mini weenie dog I buy small kibble and my ducks and chickens and goose just eat it dry. But at the end of the day any feed left over get made into soup and the birds go nuts for it. Feathered piggiesJust a heads up..If you give it straight out of the bag, make sure you put water in with the kibbles to prevent choking
That’s too funny. My dogs stand on their side of the fence watching, while the ducks come up and taunt them. Especially Honk, my Pekin. I just know he’s saying ha, look at you peasants..Frozen peas are number one. Dandelion leaves and or meal worms number 2.
The girls gobble down crushed egg shells like treats but my boy ignored them
They all love watermelon
Other treats they enjoy: lettuce from garden, frozen mixed veggies, oat mash, scrambled eggs, worms, minnows (but apparently either not in the winter or not gold tinted ones cuz last time I tried they were afraid of the minnows... But have no qualms about chasing down snakes, bunnies, or charging my dog on the other side of the fence. Such strange creatures)
Feathered piggies is right!!!since I have a mini weenie dog I buy small kibble and my ducks and chickens and goose just eat it dry. But at the end of the day any feed left over get made into soup and the birds go nuts for it. Feathered piggies
