guess we will need a boy for them then.. what would be the best color in a male to put with them.

theres gonna be a very lucky boy who ever gets here with these gals..

We just love them, they are so sweet..I like how they understand the one wild male turkeys distress call, if something flys over head he makes his sound they all go running for the coop.. its pretty darn neat..

We told you the pea's were addictive. Wait until they start making the different calls, ours tend to be watch dogs for the other birds. They all know the alarm call from them and take off running when they hear it.

Well hmmm, You dont have a white one yet

or Pied .... that would give you are nice assortment of adults... however babies would pretty much all look IB.
Im not great with genetics, but the guys on here can prolly give you a breakdown of what youd get with different crosses.

I have a 1 yer old white male that I hatched from my cameo silver pied pen... he'd be a good boy for you. He is quite tame and is the first one in the pen to eat from my hand. This years whites are all too young to sex.

ohhh so true! one year a small hawk was after one of my white call ducks that I had let out for the day. One of my free range peacocks saw it and literally ran over there and chased the hawk away! very cool.

Kat if that male if from a pr of cameo silver pied.......He will be a White(cameo) really Cameo just can't see the cameo color ,because its mask my white.

All his daughters will be cameo no matter the color of the hens except white of course.
If he is put with cameo silver pied hens= you will get more cameo pieds, and white.

Remember white is absent of color, just does not let the color show.

I have White(peach), white(blackshoulder), and hope a White(charcoal) fingers crossed a male...lols

I may even buy him , if wild doesn't want him.

Neat thing about him , if you put him with a blue silver pied hen, all female chicks will be cameo. the silver pied and the whites. of course all male will be splits cameo the silver pieds and the whites.

LMAO!!

that cameo sexlinked stuff makes my head spin.

My cameo pen has:
Males - silver pied split to cameo, Cameo white eye dark pied
Hens - Spalding Cameo, Cameo black shoulder, Cameo white eye dark pied, and 2 Cameo silver pied hens

This year I hatched 2 white chicks from that pen also, and a few really pretty cameo pieds... Im thinking the one in Charlies photos looks like it came from my spalding cameo hen.... with her tall tight crest.

I LOVE my cameo white eye male... ck out this train!
