I was reading another older thread about someone trying to tame 5 month old goslings.
A lot of people suggested peas.
Are these frozen, or dried?
I am always looking for new treats for my guys.
They do whole wheat bread, grapes, watermelon, apple.
I'm trying to get them to try oatmeal and wheat in water.
They're not too impressed.
Their normal is whatever they find in a half acre fenced backyard and the pond it contains and they always have access to Big 4 duck pellets and cracked corn and grit.
I've tried the Mazuri Waterfowl and they won't eat it.
Ok back to the peas and any other suggestions.
Thanks,
Linda

I wish my gander would try new things, he usually just stands and watches while everyone is pigging out. I have only seen him nibble on some romaine I put out. Will have to try again since right now he is separate with our new goose. She is teaching him to graze some.

Guess I'll stick to oats because I put peas out for them today and all they did was play in the water/ my chickens and ducks finished the bowl.

Can you tell me what kind of oats?
Are these oats like uncook oatmeal oats or oats in a hull from a feed store?

Thanks
Linda

I mush the peas up and feed them by hand as a treat. I feed wheat, they prefer it to the crumbles.
