Large wolf spider. We both startled each other when I tilled and mulched a bed today.

The feather iridescence is so amazing. The color looks more green or blue depending on the light angle.

The Phoenix eggs arrived today after a long delay in the mail (10 days!). Not sure if they will be viable but will try. I threw in a freshly laid egg from our hen, Woodstock, into the mix. Allowing the eggs to restitute in the incubator bottom-up until tomorrow so air sacs can settle. Then will start the turner.
Praying will get at least one of the phoenixes to hatch!
