I found a new home for my rooster even if I have regrets, the hens do seem less cranky. I put up some toys and a new dust bath to keep them busy. The slightly injured hen I kept with the flock and she seems to have adjusted to having a saddle on. Her wound is healing and once her feathers grow back, I will remove her saddle. My very injured one I think is out of the woods. She still looks terrible because of the amount of feathers missing. She eats and drinks but I can tell she is very scared. I would like to have her with others but I dont think she is ready. She needs that heat lamp. I wonder how long until new feathers grow in? I wish she didnt have to be alone but it is for her own good.
