Agree that is how they normally talk to the newest additions. This sort of thing tends to be worse right before they start to lay but usually lets up after that. The one pullet at point of lay I have here gets head pecked by everyone except the very young ones, it never lasts long and everyone doing the pecking had it done to them. I just think of it as hen hazing.

Two chickens is enough. Just keep in mind if one dies you will need to find another for company.
