Hi all,

I think I am doing something wrong. I have a hen with a beak problem, the top portion is slightly smaller then the lower part. Not a big deal, the difference is small, but until I trim it (learning.. never did it, so I am reading on watch Youtube about it) I take her in my house and feed her separate from the others. It looks like she eats a whole lot better if I mix a bit of water in her feed.

Anyhow, the beak problem is OK, I will trim it tomorrow and I don't think it is going to be a problem..

But on a youtube video I watch, the person says:

"Trimming their beaks would most likely not help with the aggression. You can try separating the aggressive hen for a couple of days and then adding her back tot he flock, as this will essentially put her at the bottom of the pecking order"

So does this mean that I am putting my favorite chicken at the bottom of the pecking order every time I bring her out? I also take her out to garden with me, she doesn't escape. The other hens are super afraid of me and I am not confident in letting them loose on my yawn yet. She is not aggressive, I just take her out of the coop because I like her!

I think I've been doing her more harm then good, right? :( :( oh oh..

If she's not gone long then I doubt that she will go straight to the bottom of the pecking order.
