Our 11 chicks are now almost 7 weeks old. Five EEs and 6 SSs. One EE, Stella, is a big girl. She usually grabs everything away from everyone else, so I think she will be the Queen of the Flock. This morning I witnessed her jump onto the back of a SS and bite her neck. Is this part of establishing the pecking order, OR COULD SHE BE A BOY???? I ordered them from a hatchery, so they should have been sexed properly: 10 girls, one boy. My cockerel baby, Lucky, is very sweet and waits till the girls have eaten, and comes to sit on my lap. Even he is smaller than Stella. OH, maybe I have them mixed up??? Maybe Stella is Lucky and Lucky is Stella? I just assumed because of what they looked like as chicks. Holy crow! Is there a way to tell them apart?

LOL! You can post a pic here or on the thread geared toward sexing (lots of people there to help with a consensus usually). There are tell tale signs to a cockerel and many times that is size and personality. Though that is not always the case. My for sure Brahma pullet is way more outgoing and brave than my for sure Brahma cockerel but many time the cockerels are more brave and tolerant or even loving with humans.
Here is the link for that breed/sexing thread

It is good to get a full on pic of their side, a straight on of their comb, make sure to avoid flash or straight on sunshine as it gives glare. There is also an EE sexing thread which has some people very experienced and good at guessing Easter Eggers by their looks.
