Pecking Order

We have 8 hens. I'm trying to figure out which one is at the top of the pecking order. Is that possible?

Yes, but it will involve a lot of time watching your flock. It's the one to which all the others defer.

As sourland said, you have to pay close attention. The best way to tell is with food. Who eats first and is never pecked away from treats? Which hens yield to another hen before she eats? If you have an established rooster, he's the top of the pecking order.
