I have a hen who only lays shell-less eggs and I’ve tried everything ! (
Any ideas?
recently I’ve noticed her vent area is beetroot red and lacking feathers .
one of our other hens started pecking at her Vent and chasing her when she realised she was about to lay and then gobbles up the egg . Unsure of what to do

Do you have curtains over your nest boxes? If they can hide to lay, and have privacy they would be more protected.
Are you giving your chickens oyster shell?

Tell us what 'everything' is....in detail.
Pic of vent would help here.
Softie layers are often stalked for that deliciousness.

More info about your flock might help here
-your flock size(numbers, ages, genders),
-your coop(size in feet by feet with pics),
-and what and how exactly you are feeding,
might offer clues to if there is a solvable problem.

We don’t have curtains on out nest boxes, but she doesn’t lay there anyway she lays when she’s out free roaming in our garden with the other 4 . ( I have one broody hen who stays in the nest all day) and yes they get loads of oyster shell. We originally started with 3 loham brown hens from Moonridge farm when we decided we wanted more and safely and sensibly introduced 4 more chickens in to the flock woth mixed breeds. A few weeks later one of our loham brown hens died :( that left us with 6 the two Lohams and the 4 mixed . We then got 4 chicks which are in the garage until old enough. She has been laying these eggs for a while even with lots of calcium and I made sure she was getting calcium by mixing it with mashed up layers pellets but still no improvement . And that was when I noticed her extremely red vent. I will put a picture below ⬇️

I struggled to take it ! But it shows how red it is, also about the coop it is quite big but we are making a new to fit the new chicks . The coop is fine tho ,
