Mine were switched cages because of a move and they were taken from there coop we just got the coop down to them and they stopped the majority of it and I have 13th laying hens like 7 or 8 mixed age chick's in there and 1 rooster

I dont know. They forage for bugs from 8am until about 8-9pm the feed we give them is layer crumble, I am not sure the protein % on that.
